COUNSELING AIDS PATIENTS

Much of the work of the hospital CHAPLAINS is that of counseling patients who are positive for the AIDS virus. One or the other is often present when the laboratory results are first given to these people. Some of thee people are already ill but others have no symptoms of the disease.

Pastor Pascal has been to South Africa to take a course in counseling AIDS patients. He is sharing his knowledge and experience with our newest Chaplain, Pastor Michel.

 New MISSIONARIES

Meet Jairus and Adeline Bohimbo. They are new Missionaries in Guinea, Africa. Jairus and Adeline were both nurses from Bongolo Hospital and were sent by the Bongolo Alliance Church and the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Gabon to work at HOPE CLINIC (http://hopeclinicguinea.org/) in Guinea.

Prayer Requests: Update 11-27-2007

  • Jairus flew to Guinea in September, has found an apartment and has started working at Hope Clinic. He needed to leave Gabon before the end of September because his Residence card was expiring. He is actually from Cameroun.
  • Adeline and their daughter Bintou praise the Lord for their passports. They flew to Guinea on November 26th! Jairus was to meet them in Conakry and today, Nov. 27th they were to travel to Hope Clinic!
  • Pray for the ministry of Jairus and Adeline as they work at Hope Clinic. Jairus is a nurse trained in the Operating room. Adeline will help supervise and teach nurses. She is also a midwife.
  • Pray for Bintou as she starts High School in Guinea, coming into school late in the trimester.
