BINTA'S MIRACLE

"Project Heart Send" is a program for children with congenital heart diseases. It aims to send these children to a hospital where they can receive heart surgery, something that can not happen in Gabon.

Meet Binta. In July 07 she had successful heart surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Binta now comes to Bongolo Hospital for regular checkups. She is doing GREAT. The only medicine she needs is malaria prophylaxis.

Read her story in an Alliance Life Magazine article called, "Binta's Miracle"  This article was written by Pediatrician Dr. Deborah Walker

Thanks to all who gave towards transportation to the U.S. for Binta and her mother and who prayed for Binta while she was hospitalized.

If you would like to GIVE to "Project Heart Send" so that other children get the same opportunity as Binta for open heart surgery click HERE.

AIR AMBULANCE SERVICE
"

Steve and Alace Straw will soon launch an AIR Ambulance Service for the Bongolo Hospital. They are with an organization called "Air Calvary". They are also associated with IFAP, the "International Fellowship of Alliance Professionals".

The Straws have finished French language school in Albertville, France in preparation for their moving to Gabon in August 2008.

Pray for the Straws as they move to Libreville Gabon in August 2008.
Pray that housing be found for them to rent.
Pray for their transition to life and culture in Gabon.
Pray for them as they home school their three children.
Pray that the Lord would show them exactly which plane to purchase for use in Gabon.
