At only 1200g (2lbs, 10oz), premature newborn Gabrielle is smaller than 99% of newborn babies as she joins the world. Her cesarean birth at Bongolo was a success and her prognosis is good, but given a complication late in the pregnancy doctors say Gabrielle would not likely have survived a home birth had her mother not chosen to come to the hospital. Praise the Lord for Gabrielle’s tiny new life, and for the care God provides to mothers and so many other premature babies in the maternity department at Bongolo!

A seulement 1200 g, Gabrielle est un nouveau-né prématuré plus petite que 99% des nouveaux-nés qui viennent au monde. Sa naissance à l’hôpital de Bongolo a été un succès. Le diagnostic montre qu’elle est en bonne santé. Gabrielle n’aurait probablement pas survécu à un accouchement à domicile si sa mère n’avait pas choisi de venir à l’hôpital. Louez le Seigneur pour la vie de Gabrielle, et pour les soins que Dieu prodigue aux mères et à tant d’autres bébés prématurés à la maternité de Bongolo!
