Postdoctoral Graduations

Two African men in doctoral robes holding diplomas with others in background

Bongolo Hospital is celebrating the graduation of two postdoctoral residents in medical specialties today: Dr. Roger MUHINDO MUHEMI and Dr. Solomon MACHEMEDZE.  Dr. Muhemi graduated from medical school at Kisangani University in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and today has officially met all the requirements of his 4-year specialty training in medical and surgical ophthalmology through Bongolo Hospital’s Postdoctoral Ophthalmology Residency Program.  Dr. Machemedze graduated from medical school at the University of Algiers in Algeria, and has successfully completed his 5-year specialty training in general surgery through Bongolo Hospital’s site for the Pan-African Academy of Christian Surgeons.  Dr. Muhemi will be moving on to serve in Liberia, and Dr. Machamedze’s place of service is to be announced later.  We hope you will join with us as we rejoice in what the Lord has done in and through these two men during their time in Gabon, and that you will pray for them and their family as they go forth in faith, love, and newfound skill.  May they be blessed as the hands and feet of Jesus wherever He takes them.
